Yesterday I stopped by a park where an old friend from the neighborhood was celebrating his birthday. I was fresh out of the workshop, so I decided to listen for "it's not fair".

Soon, I found myself in a conversation where a guy from elementary school- same age and all- asked how things were going. I started sharing my challenge with "shiny objects syndrome". He quickly replied, as if to soften things with, " hey, sometimes you're up and sometimes you're down, but it's coming"

I went to chew on that and what I saw was: it's not fair so fuck it, just wait on chance, luck, or god.

Doing this work around people who have the same floor? I think I know the answer. Maybe, and a big MAYBE is doing so with the context and intent to study them. Anyway, I'm watching myself
